What is Microsoft Silverlight?

Silverlight is a cross-browser, cross-platform and cross-device browser plug-in which is used to design, develop and deliver applications on the Web. You can compare Silverlight with Flash, Shockwave or JavaFX.

Installing Silverlight should be started within Internet Explorer or Firefox.

Download and installation is free. If your browser doesn't install Silverlight automatically, save the file on your hard disk and start silverlight.exe out of the explorer.
