Version 1.4 introduces the Geocaching.com live API. Premium Members at Geocaching.com now can download their Pocket Queries into their personal geocaching map in CACH´EYE.

10/10/2011 Version 1.3: Improved Data Management

Version 1.3. introduces a new feature which optionally permits an update of your map. When using this feature during import, new caches are added and existing ones are updated with the new data. The number of caches which may be displayed on the map has been increased to 5000.

09/25/2010 Version 1.2: Twelve additional base maps available

Starting with Version 1.2 twelve additional base maps are available in CACH’EYE including OpenCycleMap.

OpenCycleMap displays information especially interesting for cyclists: bicycle tracks and other useful information like bicycle racks, crossings, contour lines etc.

Other maps now included in CACH'EYE: Google Road, Google Satellite, Google Hybrid, Google Terrain, ArcGis World Imagery, ArcGis World Street, ArcGis World Topo, ArcGis USA Topo, ArcGis Delorme World Base, UK Ordnance Survey and London Street Map.

We are happy to release version 1.1 of CACH'EYE with lots of new features:

  • Direct import from Pocket Queries

  • Multiple ToDo-lists for easier route planning

  • Focus mode to highlight specific waypoints and caches

  • Support of OpenStreetMap

  • And many more improvements... just try it!

03/10/2010: New languages and preferred views

Our website is now also available in Spanish and Czech.

Accordingly 10 new preferred views have been added for the following countries: Argentina, Bolivia, Caribbean Islands, Colombia, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala and Mexico.

02/08/2010: New preferred views

We are pleased to be able to provide you a total of 14 new preferred views to choose from for the following regions:

Australia/New Zealand, Benelux, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Greece/Cyprus, Ireland, Italy, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, UK, USA

After choosing a preferred view, each user can personalise his views in CACH’EYE.

01/07/2010: Web toolkit of the year 3rd place

CACH'EYE came in third in the category web toolkit of the year at the geocaching review 2009 of dosenfischer.de!

We are very happy about this award and want to thank all geocachers who voted for us. No one expected that our new mapping service – today 30 days online – would make it into the annual ranking. We wish all users a lot of fun with CACH’EYE in 2010!

CACH'EYE 1.0 has been released. The cache-mapping tool was implemented by austrian software developers from IQSOFT.

CACH'EYE formerly was known as "virtualcache.at".
