Firefox Version 52

Firefox has stopped support of Silverlight with Version 52. Therfore Cacheye does not work with this Version anymore. You may download and install Version 51.0.1 from this site: https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/51.0.1/

Using Cach'eye with Google Chrome

In Chrome v42 and newer, Google disables NPAPI plugins by default. Silverlight is a NPAPI plugin that is currently required to use CACH'EYE. If you have Silverlight installed but see the prompt "To use this, please install Microsoft Silverlight" please follow the below steps to resolve the issue.
(1) Open Chrome and browse to chrome://flags/#enable-npapi
(2) Click the Enable NPAPI setting.
(3) After that, click "Relaunch Now" at the bottom of your Chrome window. Note: Closing and reopening Chrome is not sufficient, you must click the "Relaunch Now" button.
Happy Caching!

New Features in 1.4.0

This version brings some new features.

Groundspeaks Premium Users can now directly access their Pocketquery files via „Geocaching Live API“. This gives them the advantage to load several PQ-Files during one run and populate the CACH'EYE map. If there is more than one PQ checked, all these PQ-files will be merged. If you use this functionality for the first time you will have to give CACH'EYE the permission to access your GC-account. Therefore there is a „Login“ button displayed.
WE WILL NEITHER SEE YOUR PASSWORD NOR STORE IT!
This password is only known by Groundspeak.

Does anyone still use cach'eye here?

I love this program, and will be disappointed when it goes away with IE in June.

Has anyone found a suitable replacement?

Application Startup has failed. Childway points don't load

Lately when I send my caches to Cache'Eye from GSAK the childway points don't load and I get an error message: Application Startup has failed. Press 'L' or F8 to see the log. I've pressed L and F8 and nothing happens, I don't see a report. Once I press OK on the error message Cache'Eye opens but the childway points never load. The indicator that shows caches and childway points loading show the caches loaded but the childway points never load and the indicator keeps spinning and never stops. I have updated GSAK and have the latest Cache'Eye installed.

Invalid credentials

When attempting to launch the map my credentials aren't accepted. I can logon to the cacheye.org site works fine. But the map login fails.

Ideas?

Map not working

I tried to view my map on Windows 8.1 / IE11
When I go to "view map" then IE asks me to enter my credencials again and again, but no map will be displayed.
I have the same issue with the Chrome browswer on my mobile, so I don't think it's an Windows/IE Problem.

Thanks for any Support!

UK Ordnance Survey

There was another thread on this topic but it seems to have gone very quiet. We have stopped using Cach'eye because these maps are no longer available. It seems to be to do with Bing now requiring people to have a personal API key to access the OS tiles. Similar issues have occurred with MOBAC and Locus, but these can be fixed with XML files incorporating your personal key (which is free).

GSAK maps macro also has a fix.
