How do I get the cache's to show up on the map? I tried downloading the extra files but can't get them to work. Help please!

VERY IMPRESSIVE

I discovered this application this morning, and found it to be very user friendly. I downloaded the Macro for GSAK, filtered both found and unfound caches of all types within a 25 mile radius from my house! After a couple of "enter your name and password", I was viewing the awesome map on Cach'eye! Very impressive. I can definately see myself using this exclusively when planning my all day caching adventures!

Cach'eye doesn't show most caches

Hi there, doing my cache weekend project I tried export with GSAK macro the caches database, but Cach'eye shows only very few caches icons. I reset every filter, both in GSAK and Cach'eye but it doesn't work.
Any suggestion?
Thanks in advance

Cach'eye doesn't show most caches

Hello!

Are you really sure abaout your filter settings?
Please have in mind, that the filters chosen with other filters especially the found/not found as well as corrected/original are treated dependently!
For example: checking only the "Corrected" box will ONLY show caches having corrected coordinates. If you check the box "Found" too, this filter is added! If you did not export founds with corrected coords, you wont see anything at all.
All the filters are added and influence each other.

Hope this information will help you planning your weekend.

btw: In the lower right corner of the window you can see the number of caches currently shown/the number of caches contained in your exported files and also the waypoints. If these numbers differ this is caused by the current filter settings.

Waymarks

Is there a way to get this to work with Waymarks that are in GSAK from Waymarking? I can't seem to get anything to show up on the map from a Waymark database. Works great for geocaches. Thanks

Waymarking

Hello geobill!

With the current version of our GSAK makro/Silverlight application it is not possible to export these kind of waypoints to your personal map! We did not think about this variation of our hobby so far.
But I think, it's a great idea to support these Waymarks in near future too.

We will consider this topic in our discussions about our next releases.

GSAK-Support

Hi marsh,
you may find support on how to install and use GSAK on the GSAK-Website http://www.gsak.net. I think that there is also a "Getting Started" document and a large support-forum that explains GSAK in general and first steps on how to import PQ's and install macros.
regards,
